Jayati Bhatia, known for her performance in shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Kuchh Is Tara, Sabki Laadli Bebo, and Sasural Genda Phool, among others, is currently seen in Chatori Jayati - The FooChat Show, a YouTube food-based talk show that was launched on March 24. A self-confessed foodie, she revealed that their first preference was restaurants that were over 50 years old and rooted in tradition.
"Everyone loves food, and the basic needs of our life are food and water. That is why we thought of coming up with this concept. I am very modern in my thinking, but I am also deeply connected to my culture, and the same goes for Kaushik ji. So we decided to choose those restaurants that have been running for more than 50 years and still serve food with the same taste as they did 50 years ago," she said.

"Today's Gen Z is taking forward the legacy of their fathers' and grandfathers' food businesses, bringing changes while staying connected to traditions," she added.
Press meet moment sparked idea behind Chatori Jayati
Talking about the concept, she credited Kaushik Thakkar and Janvi Doshi's production house Shreenathji Media Works for coming up with it. She said, "Kaushik ji saw me at a press conference where, more than answering the questions, my concentration was on the starters. He wanted to do something unique with me. He came up to me with two projects-one was a short film and the other was Chatori Jayati. Kaushik ji knows many hidden places in Mumbai, and he truly understands the value of legacy."

"People who are very close to me know that I am a big chatori. And that's why I agreed to do it. I can't eat much, but yes, I love eating my favorite dishes. I never eat just to fill my stomach. My mother used to say, 'Jayati pet bharney ke liye nahi..maan bharney ke liye khati hai," she added.
They have shot seven episodes for the first season. The launch saw the who's who of the industry along with actor couple Dipika Kakkar and Shoaib Ibrahim. Jayati thanked them for taking time out and said, "I couldn't be happier that Deepika and Shoaib came to meet me. I had just called them, and they agreed. They were very supportive throughout, and I feel very fortunate. They even shared it in their stories."
She is looking forward to the viewers liking, sharing, and subscribing to the show, along with eating at recommended restaurants. "One thing I loved the most is that these food restaurants have supported so many people," she ended.
