What made you say yes to this show when it was offered to you?
Sanjay Kapoor:I am always looking for characters that are different from what I have done before. This role was special because it feels very close to real life and is filled with emotions that people can easily relate to. Can you tell us about your character? Do you think audiences will see you differently after this show?
Mouni Roy:My character is layered and strong-willed. At first, she appears mysterious, but as the story progresses, different aspects of her personality unfold. The role beautifully combines emotion, strength and depth. What attracted me most was how different it is from the characters I have played before.
I do believe this show will allow audiences to see me in a new light. Actors often get associated with a particular image, but projects like this help break those boundaries. I always try to take on diverse roles so that audiences can discover different sides of me and so that I don't end up repeating myself.
What did you like most about this character that made you accept the role?
Shaheer Sheikh:I have always wanted to play roles that challenge me as an actor. This character stood out because it was completely different from the roles I had done before and had a very realistic approach. What was the most special part of working on this show?
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia:This project has been very special to me. It beautifully showcases the roots and culture of Punjab. What I particularly liked was how it highlights the strength and independence of Punjabi women, regardless of the circumstances they face. We had a wonderful time on set, and it has become one of my favorite projects so far.
Do you think OTT has changed the entertainment industry? If yes, how?
Mouni Roy:Every platform has its own audience. Television has a loyal viewership that follows shows over a long period, while OTT content is often faster and more compact. How was your experience working with the entire team?
Sanjay Kapoor:My experience on this show was truly wonderful and unique. When I was first offered the role, I thought it was a negative character. But the way it was written gave it a lot of depth. It is not just a dark character; it also has a family life, emotions and personal layers that make it much more interesting. The way the director guided me and helped shape my performance made the experience even more rewarding.
What can audiences expect from you in the near future?
Sanjay Kapoor:I have two projects that are completely ready. One is Palatwar and the other is a film called Bhai Tera Star Hai. Both are ready for release. I am also waiting for another project to begin production.
Mouni Roy:Last year, I completed The Wives with Madhur Bhandarkar, which is set to release soon. I also have a few songs and projects in the pipeline that are yet to be officially announced.
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia:I have two Hindi films that are scheduled for release. At the moment, I can't reveal much more about them.
