Nora Fatehi on Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke Controversy
Nora Fatehi shared the video on Instagram, saying, "I shot this song three years ago in a language called Kannada, okay? Which is part of a different industry called Sandalwood, okay? When I shot this song three years ago, I said yes to it because it was part of a big film. It was with a big icon, Sanjay Dutt. Who would say no to working with him? He's an icon. And it was a remake, at least that's what I thought, of, like, "Nayak Nahin," which is also a very iconic song."

Continuing her point, Nora Fatehi further said that she had no idea how inappropriate the lyrics of the Hindi version would sound. She said, "When I'm on set shooting this song, I rely on the filmmakers for the translation of the song, and I believe that, okay? When they're translating the song, I don't find anything wrong or vulgar. But then again, I don't understand Kannada, so I rely on whatever they say. Whatever they've done now, including making the Hindi version and dubbing the voice in Hindi, and keeping the lyrics, which are so inappropriate, I had no idea about that. They didn't take any approval. They didn't take any permission from me."
Nora Fatehi said this
Nora Fatehi also alleged that the makers used AI images of her and Sanjay Dutt that didn't look good. She said, "When I was invited to the launch event, I sat there and saw the Kannada version, which initially bothered me because they didn't take my approval when creating the lyrical version. They used a really bad photo, and if anyone knows me, they know that I have to approve all my photos. They put this lyrical version in without my approval, and put it up there. Then they created an image of Sanjay Dutt and me that was created by AI, which I'm already against. So when I saw what I saw at the event, I was already very angry."
'I told the director this is not right' - Nora Fatehi
Explaining why she didn't raise the issue then, she said, "I have to be respectful at all costs. I'm in front of the media. I'm in front of filmmakers, people who give me opportunities, so I have to present myself in a certain way. However, deep inside, I was very confused by what I was seeing. Then they aired the Hindi version. Now, when they aired the Hindi version, I knew it was a wrap. I knew we would have problems because at least I understand Hindi. I told the director, "This isn't right. There will be too much backlash." I distanced myself from the project. As you can see, I didn't promote it at all. I flagged it to the director again and said, 'My image and reputation are at stake.'"
