The new reality show 'Tribeverse' brings a completely different and adventurous concept. Unlike traditional reality shows, it is based on raw and real-life experiences connected to the unique culture and lifestyle of Nagaland.
Recently, actor Imran Nazir Khan spoke openly about his journey on the show, his struggles, life experiences, and challenges. He also shared a painful incident of being scammed in the industry and the people who supported him during difficult times. Here are the key excerpts from the conversation-
Tell us about 'Tribeverse'. How is it different from other reality shows?
'Tribeverse' is built on a very unique and raw concept. It feels completely real and unfiltered. I believe this is one of the first reality shows in India based on a specific culture and location. Nagaland is a place people often hear stories and myths about, but you only understand the reality once you go there. This show brings that real experience to life.
Before going to Nagaland, what were your expectations?
Honestly, I was quite scared in the beginning because I had heard many myths and stories about Nagaland. But once I reached there, I realized the reality is completely different. The people there are extremely warm, loving, and welcoming. They took such great care of us that it became one of the best experiences of my life.
The show focuses more on personality and adaptation rather than fights. How was your experience?
I gave my 100% in every task and remained completely real. What you see on camera is exactly who I am in real life. The biggest challenge was the lack of basic facilities-no AC, no comfort. We had to cook our own food and take care of everything ourselves, which was very challenging for me.

There were tasks like eating insects. How was that experience?
To be honest, it was very difficult for me. When I used to see videos before, I wondered how people could eat it. But when I actually did it, I understood their lifestyle. It is part of their culture and survival. I truly respect their strength and way of living.
What did you like the most about Nagaland?
The culture of Nagaland is very unique and rich. The people are very brave, and there is a different kind of energy in their lifestyle. Their traditions and values make them very special.
How was the bonding and friendship on the show?
I developed a strong bond with my clan members. We became like a family. We supported each other, motivated each other, and stood together in every difficult situation.
Your journey was not easy. Can you tell us about it?
I come from a strict family. My father did not initially support my acting career, but my mother always stood by me. She even sold her jewelry to support my dreams. In the early days, I also faced a scam where someone took money from me in the name of making a film portfolio. It turned out to be a complete fraud. Later, I found out that he had cheated many people. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. But I didn't give up and kept working hard, which brought me here today. I will definitely expose that person one day.
How did people like Jiten Mukhi support you in your journey?
The industry has both good and bad people, so newcomers should always stay alert and not trust anyone blindly. People like Jiten Mukhi are very rare in the industry. He supported me from the beginning, gave me opportunities, called me on sets, and taught me how things work. Without any personal connection, he guided me forward, and I will always be grateful to him.
Would you like to do more reality shows in the future?
Absolutely! I see myself fitting well into reality shows. I would love to do shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
How do you see OTT and new formats like Vertical content?
Verticals is a great new platform that has given opportunities to many new artists. It requires a lot of hard work, but it is an excellent learning experience.
What upcoming projects can we expect from you?
In the future, you will see me in films, web series, vertical content, and reality shows. I want the audience to see my work and know me better.
