House of the Dragon is one of the most sought-after epic series on the planet; it is an exciting series depicting the Targaryen civil conflict known as the Dance of the Dragons that takes place throughout the legendary castles of Westeros.

House of the Dragon Season 3: Release Update
The Targaryens' civil war will hit its peak in the summer of 2023, when HBO's next installment of the Dance of the Dragons will begin airing in Westeros. Season 3 is scheduled to begin airing on HBO in June 2026 and will be available on Max (formerly known as HBO Max) at that time. Additionally, the teaser released in February 2026 shows that the show will premiere sometime in June, though no specific date (day) has been announced; however, most likely the show will still air on Sundays because that is the timeslot HBO has used for its programming for years past. The third season will contain eight episodes and began filming in March 2025, wrapping up in October 2025, and is currently going through post-production. HBO has also renewed the series for a future fourth and final season, which hints that they are planning on creating four seasons, thus covering all the material contained in Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin.
