Moody confirms update during live game

Hasaranga absence shapes LSG plans
Earlier, it was reported that Wanindu Hasaranga (2 crore) would not feature in the early stages of the IPL 2026 season, with his participation for the full campaign in doubt. However, it is now confirmed that he is not part of the squad and will not be participating. Sri Lanka Cricket had earlier denied him a No Objection Certificate, citing his injury and incomplete recovery.
With this now confirmed, LSG have more clarity in planning their squad. The franchise can now look at a suitable bowling option, depending on conditions and team balance, as they prepare for the next phase of the tournament.
