Close call goes KKR's way after review
The dismissal came off Blessing Muzarabani, who bowled a slower short delivery that Abhishek pulled flat towards deep square leg. Varun moved quickly, dived forward and completed a low catch.
The on-field umpires referred the decision upstairs to check if the ball had carried cleanly. Third umpire Nitin Menon reviewed multiple angles before confirming that Varun had his fingers underneath the ball. The decision was given out, ending Abhishek's innings on 48 off 21 balls.
Abhishek unhappy as SRH lose momentum
Abhishek was not pleased with the decision and showed his frustration as he left the field. He was seen speaking with his batting partner Heinrich Klaasen while walking off.
The wicket was part of a strong spell from Muzarabani, who picked up two wickets in the over. Kolkata Knight Riders gained momentum with quick breakthroughs, putting pressure on Sunrisers Hyderabad during the middle overs.
