SWITCH Mobility has flagged off the first batch of 10 electric intercity coaches for Prasanna Purple Mobility Solutions, marking its entry into private intercity deployments.
The buses will operate on the Mumbai-Pune route, with a total order of 25 units to be delivered throughout the year. The deployment is being executed in partnership with Vertelo.
The development marks Prasanna Purple Mobility Solutions' entry into the electric intercity segment and reflects growing adoption of EVs in high-frequency corridors.

The EiV12mt coaches offer a range of over 300 km per charge, fast-charging capability and seating for 45 passengers, aimed at enabling efficient long-distance operations.
