The story follows the main character, Shiki Ichinose, on his hard-earned path across two worlds, including that of his own mother, who is also a descendant of the Momotaro family, as they attempt to reclaim their heritage through the severed ties with the Oni demon race.

The Great Collapse Arc, which takes place in Season 2, is from an earlier part of the manga than any other arc from this series. The events of the Nerima Arc (Season 1's second cour) will lead directly into this story arc. This story arc will include many elements found throughout the series, such as dark fantasy action with a continual war between Oni (demons) and Momotaro descendants/heroes, cursed bloodlines, rage, destiny, and violent battle.
In addition to delving deeper into the protagonist Shiki Ichinose, this story arc will give readers additional details about the Oni vs. Momotaro war, as well as continue to raise the stakes with increased conflict and character development.
After building Shiki's history and struggling to understand who he really is, expect the supernatural wars (such as people fighting each other) that will occur in the upcoming chapters, as well as Shiki having to battle with himself over the course of both the chapter and volume, to become increasingly larger.
