The popular OTT series Found will not be returning for a third season. NBC announced the cancellation of the series on May 9, 2025. The second season finale aired on May 15, 2025, serving as the final episode of the series.
The plot of the series ended with multiple unresolved cliffhangers, especially concerning Gabi Mosely (played by Shanola Hampton) and her kidnapper "Sir" (played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar), as well as the backstories of all of the main characters on the show.
Found was created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll and produced by Berlanti Productions. The series premiered on NBC in 2023, quickly building a loyal fan base through its twisty cases and morally complex characters. Linear ratings for season two were modest and contributed to NBC's broader cutbacks due to changing priorities throughout the company. Warner Bros. Television attempted to shop the show to other networks and streaming services after the cancellation, but by July 2025, TVLine confirmed that the shopping process had ended without the series finding a new home.
Both seasons of Found (comprising a total of 35 episodes) were made available on Netflix on January 2, 2026, leading to an increase in viewership and renewed interest among fans. The series climbed the charts on Netflix, leading to fan campaigns and a number of cast/crew members expressing hope that the series would be resurrected (the director DeMane Davis, for example, has hinted that "maybe with enough eyes…"). Netflix has previously revived canceled series, including Manifest and Lucifer.
As of April 2026, no official announcements or plans for revival have been made. The combined strong performance of Found on Netflix keeps alive the faint possibility of a limited return or a movie, but current industry updates and scorecards do not support such a possibility.
