Comedian Sunil Pal, who was once a noted name in the stand up comedy field, faced an awkward scene when he was denied to deliver a thank you note at an event in Mumbai.
A video from the event has now gone viral, where one can see that Sunil Pal is invited on the stage and handed over a bouquet but when the comedian goes forward to address the audience, the organiser refuses to hand over the mic. Instead, the organise asks Sunil Pal to return to his seat.
Sunil Pal appears confused and he asks the organiser to let him says a few words of thanks but the organiser
insisted that the comedian take his seat. Sunil Pal said: "At Least Let Me Say Thank You".
He can be heard telling the oganiser: "thank you at least," but the person on stage continues to deny him the microphone and gestures him to step away from the stage.
Sunil Pal was once a familiar face in many live shows and television comedy circuits.
It was meant to be a felicitation programme for Sunil Pal but the video that has now gone viral has also sparked discussions about respect for the artists and stage etiquette.
