Reliance Jio has launched JioShield, a family safety and digital wellbeing solution designed to help parents monitor children while maintaining safety and privacy.
The service offers location tracking, SOS alerts, geofencing, battery alerts and phone-finding features. Parents can also manage screen time, approved apps and contacts.
JioShield works through two connected apps: JioThings on the parent's phone and JioShield on the child's phone. The child's device must run Android 10 or above and use an active Jio mobile number. JioThings is currently available on Android, with iOS support scheduled from October 1, 2026.
The JioShield programme costs ₹1,000 and includes a one-year JioShield subscription, one year of Canva Pro and 10 Jio vouchers worth ₹100 each. The vouchers can be used for eligible Jio prepaid 5G plans priced at ₹399 and above.
