Domestic Market

Domestic Sugar Prices traded steady

Domestic sugar prices traded steady across the major markets as buyers and sellers remained cautious ahead of next month's quota.

Next month's quota is likely to be released on the 27th of July, and as per the sources, the quota is likely to remain around 23 lakh tons.

In North India, M-grade sugar prices in Muzaffarnagar were quoted at ₹4,470-₹4,540 per quintal, while in Maharashtra, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹4,360-₹4,400 per quintal.

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 96.664 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.0840 Crude WTI traded at $90.10 barrel. Sensex closed 331.62 points down at 76,059.77 whereas Nifty closed 102.15 points lower at 23,767.45
