Coimbatore-based K.P.R. Mill Limited posted a rise in consolidated net profit and revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, with its sugar segment delivering a particularly strong performance, according to the company's audited financial results filed with the stock exchanges on May 12, 2026.
On a consolidated basis, the group’s total income rose to Rs 6,784 crore in FY26 from Rs 6,462 crore in FY25. Net profit after tax grew to Rs 867 crore from Rs 815 crore in the previous year, while basic and diluted earnings per share increased to Rs 25.35 from Rs 23.85.
The sugar segment was a standout performer during the year. Segment revenue from sugar operations rose to Rs 1,173 crore in FY26 from Rs 1,115 crore in FY25. More significantly, the segment’s pre-tax profit - before finance costs - nearly doubled to Rs 96 crore from Rs 56 crore in FY25, reflecting a sharp improvement in profitability from the company’s sugar and ethanol business.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, the sugar segment generated revenue of Rs 348 crore against Rs 318 crore in Q4 FY25, with segment profit rising to Rs 54 crore from Rs 39 crore in the year-ago period.
Textile remained the group’s dominant business, contributing Rs 5,435 crore to consolidated segment revenue in FY26 compared with Rs 5,185 crore in the previous year. The others segment, which includes additional business lines, contributed Rs 84 crore.
On a standalone basis, total income for FY26 stood at Rs 4,504 crore against Rs 4,397 crore in FY25. Standalone net profit, however, declined to Rs 606 crore from Rs 653 crore in the previous year.
The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.50 per equity share of Re 1 each, representing 250 per cent of face value, for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting. This takes the total dividend for the financial year to 500 per cent, inclusive of interim dividend paid earlier.
K.P.R. Mill’s sugar operations are conducted through its subsidiary K.P.R. Sugar Mill Limited, which is included in the consolidated results along with Quantum Knits Private Limited, Galaxy Knits Limited, KPR Sugar and Apparels Limited, Jahnvi Motor Private Limited, and KPR Exports PLC.
