Amid Lockdown, Doordarshan Brings Back 'Ramayan', 'Mahabharat' From Today
After an enormous demand on social media, nationwide broadcaster Doordarshan, popularly known as DD, is bringing again the epics of 'Ramayan' and 'Mahabharat' for its viewers throughout the nation and abroad. Doordarshan and DD Bharati will telecast the epics of 'Ramayan' and 'Mahabharat' respectively from in the present day,
BR Chopra' Mahabharata, which initially aired on 2nd October 1988 to 24th June 1990, featured Nitish Bhardwaj as Krishna and Roopa Ganguly as Draupadi, with Gajendra Chauhan, Praveen Kumar, Arjun, Sanjeev Chitre and Sameer Chitre because the Pandavas, and Punit Issar essaying Duryodhana.
On the demand of the general public, the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar introduced that Ramayan is making a comeback on Doordarshan, and followers have been ready for Mahabharat's return as nicely. Later within the day, Prakash Javadekar introduced that they're bringing again BR Chopra's Mahabharat which goes to entertain the individuals as soon as once more.
Mr Javadekar tweeted this morning saying, "Please tune in to @DDNational at 9 am & 9 pm to look at 'Ramayan' and @DDBharati at 12 noon and 7 pm to watch 'Mahabharat' today and everyday."
