The makers of much-anticipated SS Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu project SSMB29 sprung a major surprise upon the films, by releasing the first single of their film online.
The single is titled ' Globetrotter', and by the looks of it, the film has the same title too.
Shruti Haasan has served as the playback singer for 'Globetrotter', bringing her quintessential energy and rock-based sensibilities to the number. MM Keeravani surprises too, by lending a certain urban touch to the haunting composition that's minimalistic in its arrangement to begin with, before it acquires an almost operatic tone with a groovy beat. Chaitanya Prasad has penned the lyrics for the song.
Prithviraj Sukumaran looks menacing as Kumbha in the first-look poster of SSMB29Taking to her Instagram page a while ago, Shruti penned a heartwarming note about the experience of collaborating with MM Keeravani. She wrote, "It was a pleasure to sing for MM Keeravaani sir's musical. What a powerful track… Let it bang, Globetrotter! I was seated quietly listening to sir on the keys. He said he usually begins his sessions with the Vigneswara mantram before anything starts, so I assumed that's what he was starting playing. Suddenly, I realised it was appas son ! and that moment was super special. Thankyou sir for your kindness and the love and warmth of the entire team that day."
The single also came with a new poster, that features Mahesh Babu in a silhouette image as he looks out at the horizon, standing in the middle of a barren land in Africa. The poster also indirectly confirms 'Globetrotter' as the film's official title.
