He stated that the country’s education system had failed honest students who invested years of hard work preparing for government jobs and higher education opportunities.

“Nothing is more painful than seeing a parent grieve their child. Behind every young life lost is a family carrying pain that will never leave them and serious questions about a broken education system,” Rahul Gandhi said while highlighting the emotional impact of the crisis.

He further alleged that students were expected to work honestly despite facing a system that had repeatedly failed to protect the integrity of competitive examinations.

Questioning the Prime Minister’s remarks, Gandhi said the students did not require forgiveness but deserved accountability from those responsible for ensuring fair examinations.

He also claimed that Prime Minister Modi had not met grieving parents or students whose futures were affected by examination irregularities.

According to Gandhi, “India’s students do not need his forgiveness. They are owed his apology.”

In the video, the Prime Minister referred to recent protests in which some demonstrators allegedly used abusive language against him and his late mother.

Modi said the entire country had witnessed the incident and described the protesters as “mischievous children” who had been misled.

While condemning the abusive language, the Prime Minister said he did not wish to respond with anger.

Instead, he stated that young people can make mistakes during their youth and such mistakes can also be corrected with proper guidance.

“The children are ours, and we have to show them the right path even if it is difficult to do for people who have been misled,” the Prime Minister said.

He further added that he wanted to forgive those who had abused him, emphasizing that the responsibility of society is to guide young people rather than alienate them.

The remarks were viewed by the government as an appeal for reconciliation amid growing tensions over the protests.

Congress Intensifies Attack on Government

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also launched a strong criticism of the Prime Minister following the release of the video.
