Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in Match 20 of the IPL 2026, which took place at Wankhede Stadium on April 12.

On the field, RCB, after being put in to bat, posted an imposing 240/4. The innings was propelled by an explosive 78 from Phil Salt and a rapid-fire 53 from captain Rajat Patidar off just 20 balls. Mumbai's chase struggled from the start, with wickets falling regularly, but a blistering knock of 71 from Sherfane Rutherford kept the game alive. However, Mumbai could only manage to reduce the margin of defeat to 18 runs, marking their third loss in four matches.
