Indian cricketer Axar Patel's wife, Meha Patel, marked their second wedding anniversary with a heartfelt social media post on Sunday, January 26. The couple, who exchanged vows in a traditional Gujarati ceremony in Vadodara on January 26, 2023, recently welcomed their first child, a son named Haksh, on December 19, 2024.

On the cricketing front, Axar Patel featured in the second match of the five-match T20I series against England on January 25. Batting first, England managed 165/9 in their 20 overs, with skipper Jos Buttler leading the charge with 45 runs. For India, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy claimed two wickets each.
India’s chase began poorly, as they lost half their lineup for just 78 runs. Key players, including Sanju Samson (5), Abhishek Sharma (12), captain Suryakumar Yadav (12), Dhruv Jurel (4), and Hardik Pandya (7), struggled to make an impact with the bat.
Tilak Varma and Washington Sundar (26) steadied the innings with a 38-run partnership off 28 balls for the sixth wicket. Tilak maintained his aggressive approach, reaching his half-century in 39 balls.
