Australian captain Pat Cummins and his wife, Rebecca Jane, have delighted fans by sharing adorable Instagram pictures of their newborn baby as they embraced parenthood for the second time.
The couple welcomed a baby girl, with Rebecca expressing their immense joy in a heartfelt post.
Cummins had previously withdrawn from Australia's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka due to an ankle injury and took paternity leave, leading to Steve Smith’s appointment as captain for the series. The 31-year-old cricketer and his wife are already parents to a son, Albie.
The couple got engaged in February 2020 and later tied the knot in August 2022. Rebecca shared a picture of their newborn on Instagram, expressing their happiness.
“She's here. Our beautiful baby girl, Edi
words can't describe how overjoyed & full of love we feel right now.”

Pat Cummins Ruled Out of 2025 Champions Trophy Due to Ankle Injury
Australia has suffered a major blow as right-arm pacer Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the 2025 Champions Trophy due to his ongoing recovery from an ankle injury. The two-time champions will also be without fast bowler Josh Hazlewood and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who are sidelined with hip and back injuries, respectively.
Additionally, Marcus Stoinis recently announced his retirement from ODIs despite being named in the squad. With Cummins unavailable, Steve Smith and Travis Head are the frontrunners to captain Australia in the eight-team tournament.
The Men in Yellow will kick off their campaign against England on February 22 in Lahore, Pakistan, following a two-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
