Cummins had previously withdrawn from Australia's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka due to an ankle injury and took paternity leave, leading to Steve Smith’s appointment as captain for the series. The 31-year-old cricketer and his wife are already parents to a son, Albie.
The couple got engaged in February 2020 and later tied the knot in August 2022. Rebecca shared a picture of their newborn on Instagram, expressing their happiness.

Australia has suffered a major blow as right-arm pacer Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the 2025 Champions Trophy due to his ongoing recovery from an ankle injury.
