Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has expressed immense gratitude as he continues his remarkable journey back to international cricket.

After suffering a life-threatening car accident in December 2022, Pant's recovery and return to the sport have been nothing short of inspiring.

Speaking in a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the left-hander opened up about his emotions, acknowledging the challenges he faced during rehabilitation and the support that carried him through.

"After an injury, it is never easy to come back. But God has been kind always and he has blessed me always, and this time also, and very happy to be back," said Pant, reflecting on the difficult yet rewarding journey that led him back to competitive cricket.

"See, every time I take the field, one thing I try to be is to be grateful. That's why I always look up and thank God, my parents, my family, everyone has supported me (during the recovery phase)," Pant added.
