Virat Kohli has unfollowed YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on Instagram amid the ongoing debate surrounding Allahbadia's comments on the show 'India's Got Latent'.
Kohli's decision to unfollow Allahbadia seems to be a stance against the inappropriate comments. A screenshot of Kohli's Instagram following list has gone viral, earning him praise from those who view him as a role model.
Meanwhile, Allahbadia, along with fellow panelists Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and the show's producers, have been summoned by the police following an FIR filed against them. They are expected to appear before the authorities within the next couple of days.
Virat Kohli’s next appearance set for ICC Champions Trophy
After a dominant 3-0 series win over England in the home ODIs, Team India will now head to the United Arab Emirates for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The 2013 champions will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20.
Virat Kohli, who featured in the second and third ODIs against England after missing the first due to a knee injury, registered scores of 5 and 52. He will be eager to regain top form ahead of the prestigious eight-nation tournament.
Having lost to Pakistan in the 2017 final, India will be determined to settle old scores and reclaim their dominance this time. The much-anticipated high-stakes clash between the arch-rivals is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai during the group stage.
Led by Gautam Gambhir, India enter the competition on a high, having clinched the T20I series 4-1 and the ODI series 3-0 against England. With his form under scrutiny since the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Kohli will have a crucial role to play in India’s campaign.
