It is well known that former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has always been one of the most entertaining personalities on and off the field.

His fun-loving nature has often produced hilarious moments on camera, many of which have gone viral on social media.

Adding to that list, Rohit was recently seen hilariously imitating the bowling action of Abhishek Nayar, leaving everyone around him amused.

Rohit Sharma Hilariously Imitates Abhishek Nayar During Nets Session

In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on their social media platforms, Rohit Sharma was seen hilariously copying Abhishek Nayar's bowling action while Nayar watched from the neighbouring practice net. The two share a long-standing friendship, having previously played together for Mumbai in domestic cricket.

While Nayar was mainly known for his batting, he occasionally contributed with medium-pace bowling. He also represented four different IPL franchises during his career, beginning with Mumbai Indians in 2008. Interestingly, in 2009, Nayar was among the batters dismissed during Rohit Sharma's memorable IPL hat-trick.

In the latest clip, Rohit Sharma even managed to knock over the middle stump while imitating Abhishek Nayar's bowling action. Although most of Nayar's cricket career was spent in the domestic circuit, he also represented India in three One Day Internationals.

Rohit Sharma's IPL 2026 Campaign: Form, Impact and Key Moments

Rohit Sharma has had a mixed IPL 2026 campaign so far, showing flashes of brilliance despite dealing with injury setbacks. He has featured in only seven of his team's 12 matches after suffering a toe injury against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which sidelined him for a period.

Later, hamstring concerns meant that even after returning, he was largely used as an Impact Player instead of fielding for the full 20 overs. Despite the interruptions, Rohit has scored 268 runs at an impressive average of 44.67 and a strike rate of 164.

He has also registered two half-centuries, both of which came in successful run chases involving targets above 220.
