[WATCH]- SA Star Takes Stunning One-Handed Catch In SA20

Joburg Super Kings keeper-batter Donovan Fereira produced a remarkable one-handed catch during the SA20 2025 match against SunRisers Eastern Cape on Sunday.

The 26-year-old's effort stopped the ball from clearing the boundary for a six.

The moment unfolded in the 19th over, bowled by Hardus Viljoen, when Beyers Swanepoel launched a short delivery towards deep point, seemingly headed for a maximum.

Positioned near the boundary, Fereira casually reached out with his right hand and plucked the ball out of the air, leaving commentators in disbelief, calling it ‘impossible.’ As a result, Swanepoel was dismissed for a golden duck.

Opting to bat first, the SunRisers’ innings quickly faltered, with Zak Crawley dismissed on the very first ball. Only David Bedingham (48), Tristan Stubbs (37), and Marco Jansen (22) managed to reach double figures, as the defending champions were bowled out for just 118 in 19 overs.

Joburg Super Kings Claim Bonus Points with Dominant Win Over SunRisers Eastern Cape

The Super Kings easily chased down the required 119 runs in just 14 overs, despite losing captain Faf du Plessis (15) in the sixth over. Devon Conway played a dominant knock, remaining unbeaten on 76 from 56 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes.

Wihan Lubbe supported with a not-out 25, as the pair put together an unbroken partnership of 85. While Hardus Viljoen finished with figures of 4-0-24-0, Lutho Sipamla was named Player of the Match for his excellent 3-1-13-3 performance.

The Super Kings’ dominant nine-wicket victory ended the SunRisers’ four-match winning streak. For Du Plessis and his team, it was only their third win of the tournament, signaling that there's still work to do. The Yellow Army's next match is against the Pretoria Capitals on January 28, while the SunRisers will take on MI Cape Town on January 29.
