Royal Challengers Bangalore have successfully retained their title, having defeated Gujarat Titans in the summit clash. Now that the league has concluded, international players will return to their respective countries and turn their attention back to international cricket and other domestic tournaments.
The international cricket season has already begun with the Australia tour of Pakistan ODI series and the Red Ball circuit will commence as New Zealand make their way to England for a three match Test series. The Indian cricket team will not have a long gap as they play the lone Test and a three match ODI series against Afghanistan on the 6th of June.
India's cricket schedule throughout the year will not have any free space and right after Afghanistan series, Men in Blue will tour Ireland for two T20Is, following which the Indian team will face England for a significant white ball series involving five T20Is and three ODIs, followed by touringZimbabwe in July and playing home series against West Indies and Sri Lanka during the second half of the year.

India Set for a Busy International Season
Matches across all formats will feature on India's schedule as 2026 ends with encounters against Afghanistan, Ireland, England, Zimbabwe, West Indies and Sri Lanka. The series against the Englishmen is poised to be one of the most exciting ones while the upcoming home series against the Islanders and the West Indians will entertain the fans for a large portion of the late part of the year.

Women's Cricket to be Put Under Spotlight
Women's cricket too will take center stage with the Women's T20 World Cup to be scheduled from the 12th of June to the 5th of July. The Indian women's team will host Zimbabwe Women for a T20I and ODI series before heading to South Africa to play a Test match and a 50 over series in December.
Other than international cricket, most of the international and Indian players would take part in different franchise leagues around the world like T20 Blast, Hundred and Big Bash League, Major League Cricket and CPL, along with Lankan Premier League and ILT20 at UAE.
