England batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge and her partner, Georgie, are over the moon as they welcome their baby girl, Daisy, into the world. The couple, who tied the knot in August 2024, shared the exciting news earlier this December that they were expecting.
It’s a beautiful moment for them as they embark on this new chapter of parenthood.
Interestingly, Wyatt-Hodge is the second prominent England Women's cricketer to embrace motherhood with her wife. Back in 2025, captain Nat Sciver-Brunt and her wife, former international cricketer Katherine Sciver-Brunt, celebrated the arrival of their own little one.
With the baby on the way, Wyatt-Hodge made the decision to sit out the white-ball series against New Zealand to focus on her family. However, the 35-year-old has still secured a spot in the England squad for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held on home turf.
Before taking a break to enjoy family time, Wyatt-Hodge was in fantastic form, representing Surrey in domestic cricket. She racked up an impressive 378 runs over five innings, boasting an average of 75.60 and a strike rate of 130.79 in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
This included two centuries, with standout performances against Warwickshire (124 off 80 balls) and Hampshire (119 off 86 balls). She also scored 96 against Durham at the Kia Oval in April.
As England aims to clinch their first T20 title since their inaugural win in 2009, Wyatt-Hodge is expected to play a pivotal role. The Lionesses are currently facing off against New Zealand in a three-match T20I series, having already secured a victory in the first game in Derby by seven wickets.
