The tournament will take place between March 26 and May 3. The franchise announced the update through its official social media platforms on March 6. The team announced that a leading domestic cricket player had become part of their roster.

The franchise had already improved its team through player acquisitions during the PSL player auction, which took place at the Expo Centre on February 11.

The auction began with three-time champions Islamabad United making their first aggressive moves. The franchise acquired all-rounder Faheem Ashraf through a bidding contest that ended with a PKR 85 million price tag. The team acquired Mark Chapman, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Max Bryant in addition to him.

The franchise later confirmed the inclusion of Imad Wasim Richard Gleeson and Haider Ali. The team acquired new players who strengthened their pace bowling capabilities while also increasing their middle-order batting strength. The franchise executed a roster adjustment at the same moment. West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph was replaced by Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani.

Shamar Joseph had been selected at his base price of PKR 1.1 crore during the PSL auction which makes this fact important. Social media platforms became flooded with controversy immediately after that signing. Joseph faced allegations of sexual misconduct which originated in the year 2025.

Many fans expressed their discontent with the franchise because they had chosen to include him in the team. The franchise confirmed that they had added Mohammad Faiq to their team. Faiq had been part of the Islamabad United squad but he missed all opportunities to play in matches with the team. He now has the opportunity to make his first appearance in the PSL season.

Mohammad Faiq brings solid experience in domestic T20 cricket. He has scored 443 runs in 12 matches. His batting average measures 63.28 while his batting rate stands at 189.31. He has also recorded two half-centuries and two centuries in the format.

Islamabad United maintained their core team members while keeping important players. The team kept Captain Shadab Khan in the platinum category. Fast bowler Salman Irshad stayed in the gold category. USA wicketkeeper-batter Andries Gous maintained his position in the silver category. New Zealand batter Devon Conway joined the squad as a direct signing for PKR 63 million.

The 11th edition of the PSL will start on March 26. The opening match will take place at Gaddafi Stadium. The first match will show defending champions Lahore Qalandars competing against new team Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.

The current season will introduce two additional teams Sialkot Stallionz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen. The ownership of Multan Sultans has undergone a major transformation because of a new owner. The new management shifted the franchise base to Rawalpindi. The team will compete under the new name Pindiz in PSL 2026.
