Jitesh Sharma has established himself as a person who prefers to engage in playful conversations during both his work and social activities.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper-batter attracted interest again through his humorous comment which he directed at his former team Punjab Kings as well as two teams which have never won a championship Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.

The RCB and India cricketer appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast to discuss IPL, which will start its 2026 season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru defending their championship title for the first time in the team's history. Jitesh played a key role in their 2025 title win with his sharp wicketkeeping and impactful lower-order batting.

Jitesh had earlier moved from Punjab Kings, where he began his IPL journey in 2022 and even led the side on a few occasions. Still, he made a humorous remark about his previous team, which he played for, through a playful comment.

The wicketkeeper scored 261 runs at a strike rate of 176 while finishing games for RCB on their way to the title. His fast 24 runs from 10 deliveries during the final match led RCB to reach 190 runs which became an important target in the tightly contested game.

Earlier in the same tournament, he was also involved in fun banter with rivals Chennai Super Kings. He responded to the question about Chennai by joking with the viral ‘dosa, idli, sambar, chutney chutney’ line. The moment reached its complete conclusion when he got out at Chepauk and the stadium DJ played the same tune.

Jitesh would welcome additional banter from his former team and any other winless team that defeats RCB. The saying establishes that RCB intends to achieve its ultimate goal which they pursue with champion-level confidence as they begin their season.
