The National T20 Cup 2025-26 final between Karachi Whites and Abbottabad is set to be played on either June 6 or June 7 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has planned the summit clash as a night match.

The final was initially scheduled for March 18. However, persistent rain forced the postponement of the fixture. At that time, the PCB had announced that the "exact date and venue for the final will be shared closer to the match".

The delayed final now completes a tournament that witnessed scheduling changes and venue adjustments during its course.

What led to the postponement and venue shift?

Weather was the first hurdle for the tournament final. Continuous rain prevented the March 18 match from taking place and pushed the PCB to delay the contest. The competition itself had already experienced logistical changes earlier.

The PCB had organised this season's National T20 Cup at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar. The move was aimed at testing the stadium facilities before its planned first PSL fixture involving Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi.

That match, however, could not remain in Peshawar. Government fuel-conservation measures forced the PCB to revise the PSL schedule. As a result, the tournament was restricted to Lahore and Karachi, leading to changes in venue planning.

How did Karachi Whites and Abbottabad reach the final?

Both finalists advanced after topping their respective groups. Karachi Whites secured their place in the title clash by defeating Sialkot by five wickets in the semi-final. Abbottabad progressed under different circumstances.
