Karachi Kings Post 182 Despite Late Collapse

Karachi Kings put up 182 for 9 in 20 overs against Peshawar Zalmi at Gaddafi Stadium with the bat earlier in this innings

The team was propelled by Jason Roy with his 85 from 51 balls, smashing 11 fours and two sixes he along with David Warner (11) and Salman Agha (12) started the innings. They were going smoothly until an aggressive middle partnership between Roy and Azam Khan, with the latter contributing 35 from 19 balls further gave them impetus in the middle overs.

At one stage Karachi seemed very comfortable and at 182/6 in the 18th over, the Kings seemed set for an even higher total, but in the end three quick wickets in the final three balls courtesy of Raza's hat-trick led to a drastic late order collapse.

Ali Raza finished with the figures of 4/41 from his 4 overs, while Mohammad Basit, Iftikhar Ahmed and Aaron Hardie took one each as well.

It appeared as if Karachi Kings were all set for a massive total at one point with their score reading 182/6 in the18th over, however the late order collapse gives Zalmi a way back into the game and the eyes will now be on the chase to the target of 183.
