VVS Laxman names his favorite Indian captain and also reveals the toughest bowler he ever faced
Speaking at India Today Conclave South 2018, former Indian cricketer, VVS Laxman named his favorite captain. Laxman picked "Sourav Ganguly" as his favorite captain when asked who was the best Indian captain he had worked under.
VVS Laxman's marathon knock of 281 in Kolkata came under Ganguly's captaincy in 2001. Once upon a time, Sachin, Sourav, Dravid, and Laxman formed the fab four of the Indian batting.
Laxman cited the name of Rahul Dravid, his batting partner during the iconic partnership in the Kolkata Test, to bat for his life.
The former Indian middle-order batsman named Pakistani legend Wasim Akram as the toughest bowler he faced during his career.
The Hyderabadi batsman also revealed his favorite roommate in the Indian dressing room. He said Zaheer Khan was the best roommate he ever had.
The right-hander, who played 134 Tests for India scoring 8,781 runs at 45.97 with 17 centuries said he would have been a Cardiovascular surgeon if not a cricketer. He also predicted the winner of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy. He reckons India will win 3-1.
