England and West Indies, to kick-off international cricket amid coronavirus pandemic, locked horns at Southampton in the first Test of the three-match series. The world witnessed the post-coronavirus international cricket as both teams followed interim ICC regulations to curb the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

England might have flagged off international cricket but their limited-overs skipper- Eoin Morgan- will have to wait for a while to brace the field again. While being away from the sport, Morgan, like many other cricketers, has resorted to social media. Many players have been quite active on social media amid the pandemic.

Morgan, while being at home, recently shared a hilarious clip, leaving his followers in splits. The southpaw shared a rib-tickling video where the fielding team was involved in a 'comedy of errors'. In an attempt to run the batsman out, the fielding side was involved in many futile and comical efforts.

After dropping a straightforward catch, the wicketkeeper throws the ball to the stumps which the fielder fails to collect. Furthermore, it results in overthrows but it also gives another opportunity for the fielding team to run the batsman out. However, a fielder misses the stumps yet again, gifting the batting side another lifeline.

Eoin Morgan will resume international cricket with Ireland series

Morgan, who himself is regarded as an excellent fielder, couldn't hold back from sharing the funny clip on Twitter. 'This is awesome,' wrote the 2019 World Cup-winning captain.

33-year-old Morgan will return to the field again when England will host Ireland in a three-match ODI series, starting from July 30. It will be the first limited-overs assignment for both the sides as England and Ireland will aim to leave a mark upon the resumption of international cricket.

Ahead of the much-awaited ODI series, England recently shared a 24-member squad featuring many prominent names like Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow. Morgan will lead the side and the ODI series will be played behind closed doors in the wake of COVID-19 debacle. All the games are scheduled to be played at Ageas Bowl in Southampton on July 30, August 1 and August 4 respectively.
