SRINAGAR, July 30: As part of its Civic Action Programme, the 115 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a two-day Volleyball Tournament at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Duderhama, Ganderbal.
A total of eight teams from various schools across Ganderbal participated in the tournament, displaying impressive teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit. The final match witnessed an exciting contest between Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Ganderbal, and Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Kurhama. After a closely fought encounter, BHSS Kurhama emerged victorious to claim the championship title.
Sohail Ramzan of BHSS Kurhama was adjudged the player of the tournament for his outstanding performance in the final and was presented with the trophy during the closing ceremony. His skill, determination, and sportsmanship were widely appreciated by officials, participants, and spectators.
Commandant MS Shekhawat emphasised the importance of sports in building discipline, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle among young people. He said such initiatives under the Civic Action Programme help strengthen mutual trust and harmony between the CRPF and the local community while encouraging constructive youth participation. The winning team, runners-up, and outstanding performers were felicitated during the closing ceremony.
