Addressing a press conference here today, the Trust strongly condemned the heinous crime and described it as a grave assault on the dignity, safety and fundamental rights of a vulnerable tribal girl, besides representing a serious challenge to the institutional mechanisms responsible for protecting children, particularly those living in remote and mountainous areas.

The leadership of GDCT conveyed its deepest condolences and solidarity to the bereaved family and demanded that the investigation and prosecution be conducted with the utmost urgency, impartiality and transparency. The Trust emphasized that the victim's family must not be left to struggle for justice and that every person found responsible must face the full force of law.

Chairman GDCT, Arshad Ali Choudhary, said that such a barbaric crime against an innocent girl cannot be allowed to undermine the sense of safety and dignity of children belonging to marginalized and tribal communities. He urged the Administration to take immediate and decisive action and ensure exemplary punishment for the perpetrators of double minor's murder, in accordance with law.

The press conference was addressed by Anwar Choudhary, general secretary, Mohammad Sadiq Azad and Financial Advisor Ch Bashir Ahmed Noon, who jointly demanded that the investigation be pursued from all possible angles and that no individual involved, directly or indirectly, should escape the process of law.

Zulkarnain Chowdhary, who recently led a fact-finding team to the crime spot at Chatroo, apprised the gathering of information emerging from the ground. He stated that the information gathered during the visit warrants a thorough investigation into the possibility of involvement of additional persons or accomplices. He accordingly demanded that the investigating agency widen the scope of investigation, identify and bring every person involved to justice, strictly on the basis of evidence and due process of law, within a time-bound period.

Trust demanded that a dedicated Fast-Track Court be constituted for the expeditious trial of the case, with proceedings conducted on day-to-day basis, investigation be completed expeditiously and impartially, preferably within a time-bound period of 15 days and the accused be prosecuted under all applicable provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant laws.
