The world is witnessing uneasy developments for some time now. Current global political scenario is very uncertainly shaping in so far as, the world peace and development are concerned..

Conflicts across the globe and a war-mongering environment is catching up, leaving behind the efforts of building a peaceful world order and enabling the 21st century, designated as the knowledge century, to harvest the gains of the knowledge revolution across the world. The technological developments and AI technologies have brought about an unprecedented acceleration in the field of scientific innovations, which, if harvested, can bring about a highly advanced world order to much-needed relief to global society.
Unfortunately, the current global order is not getting adequately sensitized towards reaping the benefits of scientific advance and reducing the global conflicts. The Terrorism including the atomic terrorism, is steering in the eyes of people and instead of safe guarding the human survival, these threats are nakedly overplayed, to the dismay of the world society. Political over-ambitious designs and lack of statesmanship is causing concerns all across the world. As of now, the Iran-America conflict, threatening the smooth supply of oil and gas to the world countries, has seriously started impeding the developmental activities across the globe. This political flux will keep the world conflicts boiling for a longer time undermining the socio-economic progress of the nations, including Iran and America as well. The two nations seem to have realized the futility of prolonging the conflict, because they can prolong it but not end it decisively. The American President's China visit will invite global focus.
America, under the second term of President Donald Trump, is a significant contributor to the global political flux at present. During his election campaign, he focused on MAGA ("Making America Great Again") and generated hope and promise among his people, who reposed their confidence in him. They, however, remained uninformed about the ways and means their President will adopt to gain the supremacy of America among the world nations. President of America should himself be realising that his strategy of MAGA is not rightly placed."Supremacy comes from statesmanship and not from political clout, particularly when the world is witnessing the emergence of many global powers which are denting the might of traditional super-powers and transforming world into a multi-polar order.
America has its problems and American administration would like to overcome the same as early as possible. The American economic growth has slowed down for sometime now. The America has also faced sizeable immigration and has also failed to stall the outflow of its resources. The unsatisfactory growth is compelling its administration to think of workable measures to stall the further dent on its economic growth. It certainly needs a thoughtful planning to regulate its international trade and investment atthe international level so that it peacefully attains its supremacy of being a super power at the global scale.American President seems to have undermined the global political and economic situation and wrongly chosen the tariff war and military options. The world is now recognized as a global village which is better managed by cooperation, coordination and mutual understanding. That the traditional super-powers and neo-rich countries are seeking to play equal and stand arrogantly against each other is clearly adding to global tensions resulting into armed conflicts which are threatening the socio-economic development for a better world order.The countries, however mighty these may be/ can't succeed to brow-beat other countries and let their tariff wars and armed conflicts to succeed. The reluctance to recognise the emergence of new nations as the political powers, will definitely undermine the growth of a peaceful and harmonious global order. The prolonged armed conflicts will adversely affect the comity of nations besides, of course, the nations who opted for such armed adventures. Prosperous global countries such as Russia, China, Iran and Israel, besides America, shall benefit by promoting peaceful global order rather than exhibiting military superiority.
The world remained relatively peaceful even during the Cold War period, which helped nations to fight poverty, illiteracy, disease, hunger and health hazards.
The world is still faced with challenges of climatic change, environmental hazards such as floods, earthquakes, forest degradation, global warming etc. The maturity of political leadership demands that these challenges are addressed jointly so that devastation to mankind is stalled.
There is no substitute for democratic order, liberty, equality and civility; with the spread of education and awareness, the common citizens of the world look forward to a just political order, equal economic opportunities and social justice. There will always be a civilian unrest if politicians take decisions on their ego and arrogance, unmindful of the public sensitivity. There should be respect for territorial jurisdiction and expansionist tendencies undermining the established political authority should be avoided.
In this global political flux, India remains a focused nation because of the following reasons:
(i) India is one of the few countries that has maintained a steady rate of economic growth for the last two decades.
(ii) India maintained a sound financial management and kept its deficit under control with reasonable limits. Indian economic planning has successfully kept the economic vitals in order except for tackling the absorption of its surplus manpower optimally.
(iii) The law and order situation has remained under control.
(iv) India has significantly carried forward its mission of re-building the ancient credentials of its polity, society and economy. The rich history, philosophy and global perspectives have received adequate attention and manifestation, both internally and internationally.
(v) India's contribution to neighbouring countries in the periods of crisis, such as natural hazards, diseases and other crisis situations has remained commendable.
(vi) India made its efforts to promote world peace by supporting the unbiased stand in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and other bilateral and multi-lateral relations.
(vii) India stood firm on its national interests without, in any way, intervening in the matters of other countries.
(vii) India has emerged as a good-will nation and is poised for a bigger role for promoting global peace and harmony.
