According to police sources, the balloon was found in the jurisdiction of Thanamandi Police Station and was immediately taken into custody for examination. Following the recovery, police and other security agencies have launched an investigation to ascertain its origin and how it reached the area.

The balloon resembles an aircraft and has "PIA" inscribed on it in both English and Urdu. It also carries the Pakistani national symbol-the crescent and star-on one side, indicating that it is likely linked to Pakistan. "PIA" is the abbreviation for Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan's national airline.

Officials said that similar balloons have been recovered in different parts of Rajouri in the past. However, the latest recovery has drawn particular attention because Azmatabad village in Thanamandi is located far from the Line of Control (LoC), making the balloon's presence in the area a matter of investigation.

Police have seized the balloon and are examining all possible aspects. Security agencies remain alert and are investigating whether the balloon drifted across the border due to weather conditions or if there are any other factors involved. No security threat has been confirmed so far, and further investigation is underway.
