Varanasi, April 4: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the head of the Gorakhnath Peeth, visited Varanasi on Saturday. He offered prayers at the Baba Vishwanath temple and the Kashi Kotwal, Lord Kal Bhairav.

After his visit, he interacted with local shopkeepers and children, inquiring about their well-being.

The Chief Minister blessed the children with wishes for a bright future. His two-day visit to Kashi began on Friday. On Saturday morning, he paid his respects at the shrine of Baba Kal Bhairav, bowing his head and performing the aarti as a mark of devotion. As he left, he engaged in conversations with nearby shopkeepers and children, all of whom greeted their beloved Chief Minister with respect. His warm demeanor brought smiles to everyone present.

The Chief Minister also visited Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Entering the sanctum sanctorum, he performed the Shodashopachara worship and abhishekam of Baba Vishwanath, praying for the welfare of the public. As he departed, he acknowledged the devotees present, who responded with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”

Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Vikramaditya Mahanaatyam in Bareka, where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was also in attendance. Adityanath remarked that this cultural bond is being strengthened under the guidance and inspiration of the Prime Minister. He emphasized that Kashi is a significant city of Sanatan traditions, making the first presentation of this grand theatrical adaptation by the banks of the Ganges particularly special.
