In Kokrajhar, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth ₹4,570 crores. Upon reaching Guwahati, he presented a historic gift to tea garden workers.

He distributed land leases to over 28,000 tea garden workers, granting this community, which has lived in Assam for 200 years, their first-ever domestic land rights. This marks the beginning of a phased program that will benefit millions of tea garden families.

Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated the PM Unity Mall in Guwahati, aimed at boosting local business and employment. He also released the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, transferring ₹2,000 directly to the accounts of over 9.3 crore farmers nationwide. Thousands of farmers in Assam have benefited from this scheme.

PM Modi highlighted that Assam has received various projects, from those aimed at making the state self-reliant in the energy sector to initiatives enhancing the convenience for visitors. He stated that Assam plays a crucial role in fulfilling the country’s renewable energy commitments.

Local enthusiasm was palpable during the visit. Farmer Rohit Nath remarked, "PM Modi has fulfilled his promises. The ₹2,000 and land leases will boost production."

Another local noted, "The Modi government does what it says. The Congress was in power before, but they didn't do this. We want Himanta Biswa Sarma's government again."

Rinku Rai from Malegaon commented, "The government is doing excellent work."

On Saturday, PM Modi will visit Silchar, where he will inaugurate more projects. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that this visit will give new momentum to the state’s development. The partnership between the central and state governments is strengthening infrastructure, agriculture, and social justice in Assam. Residents are praising PM Modi, claiming they have never seen such a government before.
