CBI Raid At Prannoy Roy House, Accused Of Cheating The Bank
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday raided the house of Delhi-based Media Mughal and NDTV co-founder Prannoy Roy. According to the news agency, the CBI has confirmed it itself. The CBI has registered a case against a private company and others including Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy. This case has been registered against allegedly causing a loss of Rs 48 crores to ICICI Bank. The CBI said that four places have been raided in Delhi and Dehradun. BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy has given his reaction on Prannoy Roy’s raids. They said, “fear of law is important. It should be applicable to everyone, it does not matter who you are. ”

It is mentionable here that subramaniam Swami write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year alleging money laundering on NDTV. He had appealled to PM Modi to direct the CBI to file a case against NDTV under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had issued a notice of Rs 2,030 crore against NDTV for violating FEMA provisions. This notice of ED was issued against Pranay Roy, Radhika Roy and senior executives KVL Narayan Rao.
