KAKINADA: Dwaraka Tirumala police arrested seven persons, including outsourcing employees of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam in Dwaraka Tirumala, on charges of creating and selling fake temple tickets.
Two employees had already been arrested earlier in connection with the scam.
According to the police, on March 15, 2026, Executive Officer Bhadraji lodged a complaint stating that fake tickets were being created and sold. During the investigation, police seized 61 fake tickets worth ₹200 each from the counter.
The prime accused, Inampudi Sai Jagannadha Raju, along with six outsourcing employees of the temple, was arrested. During interrogation, police said that Sai Jagannadha Raju, with the help of computer supervisor M. Ramesh and his friend MNVS Srinivasa Rao, created fake software, generated counterfeit tickets, and sold them to devotees.
Police seized a laptop, printer, and five mobile phones from the accused.
