Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said Godavari Pushkaralu would be held in a grand manner like the Kumbh Mela. It is being estimated that 10 crore pilgrims would attend the Pushkaralu, to tbe held from June 26 to July 7, 2027.
Launching the development works relating to the Pushkaralu in Rajamahendravaram, he said that all facilities would be provided at ghats stretching for 212 km in the twin Godavari districts. With Rs 750 crore financial assistance from the TTD and Sri Vani Trust, over 5,000 Bhajan mandirs would be constructed across the state.
Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari, tourism minister Kandula Durgesh, MLC Somu Veerraju, MLA Adireddy Srinivas Reddy laid the stone for construction of six new buildings to be built at a cost of Rs 9.55 crore. Over 43 temples in East, West Godavari, Konaseema districts would be developed at a cost of Rs 51.79 crore.
Minister Durgesh said that action plan for temple tourism is being designed with the coordination of the endowments and tourism departments. Anam laid stone for development works of Annavaram and Venkateswara Swamy temple in Vadapalli.
