Nellore: The temple precincts of Harinadhapuram resonated with devotion and grandeur on Saturday as elaborate Vedic rituals marked the second day of the Rajagopuram Kalasa Pratishtha celebrations at the revered Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Subrahmanyeswara Parvati Sameta Brahmeswara Temple, highlighted by Kailasa Mandapa Aradhana and sacred Kalasa Abhishekams performed in strict adherence to scriptural traditions.

The rituals commenced early in the morning with Vigneshwara Puja, followed by a series of ceremonies including Gavyannam, Trishula Puja, Navagraha Puja, Ksheeradhivasam, Panchagavya Abhishekam, and several homams such as Shanti Homam, Shadrucha Homam and Diksha Homam.

Devotees thronged the temple in large numbers, witnessing the rituals as priests performed special abhishekams to the temple tower kalasas.

The atmosphere turned vibrant as sacred chants filled the air, while rituals continued in the yagashala with homams conducted on a grand scale.

Temple committee chairman Vemireddy Vijayabhaskar Reddy said all arrangements have been completed for the Rajagopuram Kalasa Pratishtha scheduled for April 12.

He noted that the celebrations, which began on April 10 with Kalasa pujas and the village festival, have been conducted magnificently under the guidance of Shaiva Agama scholar Subbayya Siddhanti.

Thousands of devotees participated in the festivities, seeking divine blessings. Nellore Rural MLA Sridhar Reddy, along with corporators and prominent citizens, attended and inaugurated the village festival, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The upcoming events on Sunday include Maha Kumbhabhishekam, Poornahuti and Shanti Kalyanam, to be conducted under the blessings of the revered pontiff Sri Sri Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swami of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. The consecration rituals will be performed by the disciples of Sri Sri Vijaya Subrahmanya Siddhanti.

Organisers expressed hope that thousands more devotees will attend the grand finale and receive divine blessings. Temple committee members and organisers actively participated in ensuring the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
