New-age director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is pinning high hopes on his next film, Spirit. Given Vanga's track record with impactful blockbusters such as Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal, the Prabhas-starrer has generated sky-high expectations among fans and the trade.
Spirit is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027, although rumours of a possible postponement have been doing the rounds. When Vanga stepped out to promote his production venture Romanchakam, which is set for release on September 3, the media questioned him about Spirit and its release plans.
Vanga dismissed the postponement rumours and confidently stated that the film is progressing as planned. He revealed that around 50 days of shooting have been completed, with another 65 days still remaining.
Interestingly, Vanga is planning to wrap up the entire film in around 115-120 shooting days, which is a tight schedule for a big-scale project starring Prabhas.
Prabhas is currently working on Fauzi. After completing his portions for the film, he is expected to return to the sets of Spirit and resume shooting.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Vijay Deverakonda are planning to revisit their blockbuster Arjun Reddy for its 10th anniversary. Vanga revealed that he and Vijay are working on re-editing the film and are considering an extended version for a special anniversary release.
Arjun Reddy, which was later remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh, marked a major turning point in the careers of both Vanga and Vijay Deverakonda and went on to become a cult favourite among a section of audiences.
