Ballari: The Ballari police have busted a racket that would cheat people luring work from home options and also offering laptop, said Ballari Superintendent of Police Suman Pennekar.
A network under the name of 'Trans India Private Limited' was working out of a rented house on Bommanahal road in APMC police station limits. They would call people under the guise of selling Ayurvedic products and would offer work from home options and a laptop to work. They would fleece people in the guise of various process, the officer said.
Kalaburagi: Police arrest two job racketeersAbout 15 persons from Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh were working at this call centre and of them there were seven women and eight men. They would be paid commission based on the transaction they did.
The police have raided the place and seized 21 mobile phones, a laptop and some cash. They have also suspended 13 bank accounts that were being used for the scam.
SP further said that the main accused of the fake job network is absconding and the police are investigating.
