Mandya: MLA P Ravikumar expressed disappointment over the sales of tickets for the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches held in Bengaluru in the black market.

IPL tickets have become like gambling.

He charged that there are no proper basic facilities at the stadium, but the tickets are sold ten times higher than the original price.

Addressing media people, he said, "We are happy to conduct the IPL matches in Bengaluru. But selling the tickets in black is not right."

"There is no proper drinking water facility in the stadium. They have turned the stadium into a money-making machine. The authorities should, at least now, pull up their socks and provide all facilities for cricket enthusiasts," he urged.

"The way MLA Vijayanand Kashappannavar sought tickets for the IPL matches may not be right. But what he asked is right. I gave my two tickets to cricket enthusiasts from the economically weaker sections. They have given tickets to the MLAs like alms. I am ready to stand in a queue and buy tickets with my money. But, where are the tickets available? I may have the capacity to buy a ticket for Rs 50,000. What about the poor?" he asked.
