Google has announced the best Android apps of 2025 on the Play Store.
Leading the pack is Zomato's 'District: Movies Events Dining' as the best app of 2025. However, generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) applications have been more popular among Android phones.
Out of 11 best apps, more than half of apps have gen AI features.
"AI is becoming foundational to Indian apps, providing meaningful value to users - in fact, 69 per cent of Indian users say their first interaction with AI came through an app on their Android device," said Google.
