Bengaluru: The city's first double-decker featuring a metro line above a flyover is set to open fully in the coming days.
On Thursday, senior traffic police officials and BMRCL engineers inspected the flyover's Ramps D and E, which will connect HSR Layout with Ragigudda and BTM Layout. Ramp D runs below the metro's Yellow Line.
The ramps were delayed due to the installation of a 42-metre steel girder, but the work has recently been completed.
Once operational, the flyover will allow traffic to bypass Silk Board, reducing congestion at the notorious junction.
The ramps connecting Ragigudda to Hosur Road, BTM Layout and HSR Layout, opened in July 2024.
