Tiptur (Tumakuru district): A 25-year-old man, who was relentlessly pursuing a girl, was killed by the latter's parents on Saturday night in Tiptur.
Chetan, a resident of Shankarnagar in Tiptur, was found dead near the Halkurke Road Dhanalakshmi Weighbridge. Although he was already married, Chetan kept visiting Alur resident Lokesh's tea stall, asking for the hand of the latter's daughter. Lokesh and his wife subsequently decided to beat Chetan to death on Saturday.
Two highway robbers shot at in Karnataka's Hubballi during spot inspection
Superintendent of Police Ashok K V, DSP Vinayak Shettigeri, along with Honnavalli inspector Rajesh, visited the spot soon after Chetan's body was found. A case has been registered in connection with the murder at the Honnavalli police station. Chetan has two kids.
