In June 2025, he hosted his first 'Cafe Cookup' event at a plant-based wellness cafe in Indiranagar. There, a handful of electronic music enthusiasts were given a short music sample and told to create a longer track in just an hour.

He recalls the initial days fondly, "The first few cookups I had to 'swiggy' headphones for the other people, but I already knew that this is what I wanted to do," he says.

From then on, it became a Sunday tradition, with a dozen-or-so artists and producers bouncing between spaces in Indiranagar and Koramangala, before finally settling down in Indiranagar's Ethic Attic Cafe for the better half of a year now.

Spinny John Stanley, also known on stage as ILAAMA, was one of its first members. He explains that the strong sense of community and lack of ego are what keep him coming back. "I get to learn a lot of new perspectives in music," he says. "My mind can only think a certain way, so through this I get to see different music processes."

One emerging artist and attendee, Keerthan A, going by the alias Karlow, agrees. "Being an artiste, you get a lot of creative blocks, or sometimes you're just not in the right state of mind to make music. But it's different when a group of artists get together."

Daniel is committed to keeping these community-oriented meetups accessible. "Everyone is welcome. I'm just very happy to have a safe enough event where all these different people are collaborating for a common thing." After a year and a half of searching, Daniel has finally found a space in Indiranagar to build a studio to host these events, and he plans to keep the doors open to anyone seeking feedback on a track.
