During a media interaction, producer Namit Malhotra emphasized the project's unprecedented scale, revealing that a global team of over 10,000 professionals is currently working around the clock to bring Ramayana to life.
An emotional Nitesh Tiwari addressed the audience, revealing the deep personal stakes involved in the project. 'I have dedicated seven years of my life to Ramayana. I've been waiting for this exact moment for seven years, just to finally see your reactions to our vision," the filmmaker said.
About Ramayana
Inspired by the ancient epic Ramayana, the film revolves around the story of Rama and his journey as a prince of Ayodhya, his exile and his battle with Ravana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana.
The music is composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The first part of Ramayana is set to release in theatres during Diwali 2026, while the second part is expected to release in Diwali 2027.
